Samsung Watch Location Data Missing

This article is for Samsung Watch3 and older

By default Samsung watches come with the watch GPS turned off. This means that watch will always attempt to use the phone's GPS if in range.

To fix this, on you Samsung Watch go to Settings > Connections > Location > Turn on.

We also recommend changing the method to 'GPS' not 'GPS and wireless networks'.

There are some know GPS issues with some versions of Tizen. We recommend updating your watch to the latest software version available to it.
